Launched in 2017 Arvin Goods make sustainable yet trendy socks and underwear. Arvin Goods’ mission is to make the cleanest basics on the planet! Making it easy for us humans to lower our impact every day.

Nice on the eyes — and everyone’s future.

One area Arvin Goods is focusing on is the amount of water used in creating textiles. According to Arvin, the average pair of socks takes 50+ gallons of freshwater to create. That’s 100+ gallons for every pair of socks in your draw. They believe responsibly-made products can help global communities combat the lack of drinking water. Less water used to make basics means more left for humans to drink.

They have spent a lot of time developing a clean supply chain in order to make a positive impact on the planet. They use reclaimed cotton, the fabrics scraps collected from factory floors. Allowing them to reduce landfills and save the energy and water that would be required if they were to use virgin materials.

In addition to their amazing socks, Arvin Goods now carries t-shirts made from organic and recycled cotton, hats made from hemp, plus re-use products like tote bags and water bottles.

Arvin Goods: Recycled Material

Arvin Goods uses upcycled or recovered textiles like cotton. These are pre-consumer scraps and cuttings that would generally end up in landfill. As well as saving this material from landfills Arvin Goods saves freshwater, lowers C02 emissions, and eliminates the use of energy-dependent farms and facilities.

Their materials include:

They also include Hemp biofiber and organic cotton in their products.

Closing the Loop

Arvin Goods don’t have a direct take-back program yet, however, they are working on it. They encourage you to take your old socks to a clothing recycler until then.

Have We Tried It?

I have been switching to recycled products whenever I need to replace an item. I needed some new socks a few years ago and my search lead me to Awrin Goods. I love their socks and have just stocked up on some replacements again. They are soft and comfortable and although I usually go for practical black i couldn’t resist their latest colors.
