Recycled Firefighter

Working as a full-time firefighter, Jake from Recycled Firefighter, realized that even with overtime he wasn’t making enough money to support his growing family. He decided it was time to venture into something new.

Jake taught himself how to sew and started making wallets out of repurposed fire hose. His wallets were a hit and he now has a range of bags, belts and other accessories.

All of his products are hand-made in the USA. He has recycled and repurposed over 15,000 feet of decommissioned fire hose from around the U.S.! Each piece holding an amazing story of where the hose has come from. From the first piece of hose, he took out of the firehouse trash, to the more recent pallet of hose from St. Matthews Fire Department in Louisville, Kentucky.
