Wolven was started by Kiran Jade and Will Ryan and is based in Los Angeles. They are very hands-on with the business and, in fact, create each fabric pattern themselves. They are motivated by nature and its elemental shapes, while their vibrant colors are inspired by Indian art and a celebration of yoga origins.

Kiran and Will are strong believers in and advocates for reducing the impacts of humans on our world. They also believe that quality, comfort, and beautiful clothes can still be made without such impacts. Make sustainability sexy is their motto, and they achieve that through their gorgeous designs.

Oh, and did we mention that not only are they making sustainability sexy but they will collect one pound of plastic bound for the ocean for every order. That’s right you can help clean up our plastic problem while buying sustainable leggings.

Wolven partners with One Earth – One Ocean, a registered associate from Germany that operates worldwide. They support One Earth – One Ocean’s project in Brazil where they support local fishermen to clean the famous Guanabara bay, organize cleanups and provide education that helps prevent marine litter.

Wolven: Recycled Materials

Wolven uses Recycled P.E.T fabric (RPET) made from recycled plastic water bottles for their Activewear and Swimwear creations.

Fun Fact: There are 27 recycled post-consumer bottles in each Wolven legging!

Certifications

Their fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 which means the fabric has been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be detrimental to human health.

OEKO-TEX® provides independent certifications and product labels that enable companies in the textile industries and consumers to make responsible decisions and support products that do not damage health, are environmentally friendly and are manufactured in a fair way.
