Not sure where to start?
Why not take my Curbside Recycling Challenge?
While many of us believe they have a solid grasp on curbside recycling (yes, I was there once myself), the reality is that a significant number of people are unknowingly making mistakes that can compromise the effectiveness of the recycling process.
My short course reviews basic curbside recycling principles in an easily digestible format, allowing you to review your existing understanding and clear up any misunderstandings.
Plus, it only takes a few minutes a day.

But will the course be relevant in my neighborhood?
One of the primary reasons for confusion about what can or cannot be recycled is the lack of standardized recycling practices. Inconsistent recycling guidelines across different regions and even within communities contribute to this confusion.
However, in my research for Recycling for Dummies I found there were also many universal rules that apply across states and across nations. Yes, different locations accept different items, but as long as you regularly check your local information, you should have no trouble recycling curbside.
Both this short course and my book “Recycling for Dummies” are designed to be accessible guides, enabling anyone to grasp the essentials of proper recycling practices regardless of their location. The information is crafted in a user-friendly manner, making it easy for individuals to learn and implement effective recycling techniques tailored to their specific circumstances. It’s important to note that while these resources assume access to curbside recycling, I acknowledge that not everyone enjoys this convenience. Despite such limitations, the course and book aim to empower individuals to make environmentally responsible choices within the scope of their available recycling options.
